What Makes This Special ᥫ᭡
Zebra wood does the striping by itself. The dark bands running through this timber are natural — zebrawood grows with alternating light and dark grain, no dye or staining involved. Set into black ceramic at 9mm, the stripes are the only thing happening on the ring and they're enough.
Why This Ring:
- Naturally Striped Grain: The contrast comes from the tree, not from a finish. Every ring's stripe pattern is different, and it's a figure you won't find in oak, walnut or koa.
- Ceramic Rather Than Metal: Lighter than tungsten at the same width and free of nickel. At 9mm that weight difference is genuinely noticeable on the hand.
- 9mm — Wider Than Standard: Between the usual 8mm and 10mm. It gives the grain more room to read, which matters on a timber whose whole appeal is the pattern.
