What Makes This Special ᥫ᭡
Runes, carved as if they'd been dug up. Norse runes cut around a stainless steel band finished to look weathered and stone-like rather than polished. Runes weren't decorative — they were carved onto weapons, doorposts and amulets as marks of protection and identity, and the alphabet predates the Vikings by centuries.
Why This Ring:
- Norse Amulet Runes: The runic script runs the full circumference. Individual runes carried specific meanings — Algiz for protection, Tiwaz for courage — which is why they were carved rather than written.
- Weathered Stone Finish: Deliberately rough and aged rather than bright. It's what stops the ring reading as costume jewelry and makes the carving look excavated instead of manufactured.
- 6mm and 8mm: Two widths in the same design. The 8mm carries the runes more legibly; the 6mm is the more wearable of the two.
